Highlights

GWM has partnered with the Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder, a week after announcing a new co-major partnership with Richmond Tigers. The combination of Cricket in the summer and footy in the winter give GWM year-round coverage, while the teams provide a base in both Sydney and Melbourne, building on partnerships with AusCycling and the NZ Warriors.

Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme has launched a three-year partnership with the Melbourne Stars. Like GWM, the partnership gives the brand year-round coverage alongside their Carlton Football Club sponsorship, which commenced this year. The partnership provides a strong fit for the Melbourne Stars “Team Green” environmental initiatives – also aligning with B-Corp Intrepid Travel who renewed last month.

Three new Playing Kit partnerships were announced in Adelaide in the last week, with Drakes Supermarkets x Adelaide Lightning, Flinders University x Adelaide United Women, and Mega Rewards x Adelaide United Men (following recent announcements with 36ers and Perth Wildcats).

Hotels partnerships are booking fast, with Minor Hotels x WNBL and Oaks Hotels x Brisbane Heat both announced this week. Recent activity in the category includes Choice Hotels x NBL, Majestic Hotels x Adelaide Strikers and Quest x Auckland FC.
