Summary

This Week:

RAA has tightened its grip on Insurance sponsorships in SA, signing a new partnership with the SACA / Adelaide Strikers until 2028. The deal follows a busy six months for the insurance provider:

• Port Adelaide AFL & AFLW renewal until 2029

• Adelaide Crows AFL & AFLW renewal until 2029

• Adelaide Thunderbirds new partnership until 2028

• Adelaide 36ers renewal until 2028

This is in addition to long-standing partnerships in soccer with Adelaide United and the NPL, cementing RAA as the #1 insurer in the State for years to come.

It also follows NRMA’s entry into the SA sponsorship market in April through a major partnership with Adelaide Oval.

The Adelaide Lightning can leverage high levels of category tension, as one of few opportunities for an insurance partner in the State in the next few years.

Other insurance sponsors might pay close attention to their reach into the SA market, given RAA's stronghold with local teams.

Harvey Norman has renewed with the GWS Giants, cementing the brand’s position as Australia’s top retail sponsor.

Sponsorships for the Western Sydney-headquartered brand skew significantly towards NSW and QLD (NRL/W, QRL, Sydney Kings/Flames, Bulldogs NRLW, NZ Warriors NRL).

The Giants provide rare reach into both NSW and VIC, helping Harvey Norman with a more national footprint.

A summer-based Victorian property would further balance the brand’s sponsorship presence across the country and the calendar.

Carnival Cruise Lines has signed with the Melbourne Renegades, rounding out sponsorships in the three largest States, alongside its Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Bullets partnerships.
