Highlights

⚡Cricket Australia announced Origin Energy as its new platinum partner, on a three-year term. Origin will feature on the Sleeve of the Australian Men’s and Women’s Cricket Team, alongside branding in W/BBL and community Cricket.

Together with Netball Australia and the Sydney Swans, Origin’s sponsorship presence aligns with its position as Australia’s largest energy retailer.

🏉 adidas is the new apparel partner of the Sydney Roosters, joining on a four-year term. The global sportswear brand has grown its sponsorship footprint in the last 12 months, entering into new partnerships with NSW Rugby League and Western Sydney Wanderers FC, in addition to longer term partnerships with New Zealand Rugby and Golf Australia.

🍔 McDonald's extended its lead as the brand with most sponsorships in Australian sport, in a new partnership with Netball Queensland. The deal follows McDonald’s five-year renewal with the Brisbane Lions last week, in addition to QLD partnerships with the North Queensland Cowboys (to 2027), Brisbane Broncos (to 2027) and more.

🛡️ In a busy week before the Men’s Ashes, Cricket Australia also renewed with NRMA Insurance, with naming rights across Men’s Tests and now Women’s internationals, in a six-year extension.

Insurance was tipped as a category to watch in Scout Pro’s October insights report, after RAA locked up the SA market. In the month since, there have been new deals for Budget Direct (x5), Allianz Australia, 1Cover Travel Insurance, RAC WA and AAMI.
